As one of the few places to stay in Gruene with private Guadalupe River access, The Casitas offer exclusive access to a shallow, beach-style river entry. Guests enjoy complimentary kayaks, tubes, and paddleboards, making it easy to spend the day on the water—all without the hassle or expense of renting equipment.
Located just a 6-minute walk from Gruene Hall and the heart of Historic Gruene, The Casitas put live music, local restaurants, and unique shops right at your doorstep.
Locally owned and operated by longtime New Braunfels residents, The Casitas at Gruene were designed for comfort and convenience. Each casita includes fresh linens, a coffee bar, wine glasses, Wi-Fi, and thoughtful amenities for a memorable Texas Hill Country getaway.

Make the most of your stay with private access to the Guadalupe River—perfect for swimming, paddle boarding, and kayaking right from our riverfront. Unlike most, we provide paddle boards, kayaks, and tubes free of charge for our guests! For tubers, we recommend Rockin' R River Rides for a hassle-free experience and shuttle back to Gruene at the end of your float.
Even in the cooler months, the river offers a peaceful escape, with thousands of rainbow trout released each winter, making it a favorite destination for fishing and year-round recreation in New Braunfels.
